1. Metoprolol is contraindicated in patients with severe bradycardia, heart block greater than first degree, cardiogenic shock, and overt cardiac failure.
2. Prior to prescribing Metoprolol, evaluate for asthma or COPD, bradycardia, low blood pressure, and poor peripheral circulation.
3. Contraindications for Metoprolol include severe heart failure, AV block, and severe asthma. Assess heart function, lung condition, and blood pressure first.
4. Metoprolol should not be prescribed to patients with uncontrolled heart failure, severe asthma, or a history of severe allergic reactions to beta-blockers.
