Diclofenac can increase the risk of gastrointestinal ulcers and bleeding. To protect the stomach lining, take it with food or use a proton pump inhibitor.

Diclofenac may cause ulcers by impairing stomach mucosa. Co-administration with misoprostol or using enteric-coated tablets reduces such risks.

Taking diclofenac, especially on an empty stomach, often leads to gastritis or ulcers. It’s advisable to take it with meals and consider additional gastroprotective drugs.
