How does cefixime interact with proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) and should patients avoid or adjust their PPI dosage when being prescribed cefixime for infection treatment?
There is no known significant interaction between cefixime and proton pump inhibitors (PPIs). Patients do not generally need to adjust PPI dosage when prescribed cefixime for an infection.
