Fertility clinics typically prepare patients for frozen embryo transfers (FET) through a series of steps that may include the following:

    1. Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT): The patient may be given medications to regulate the menstrual cycle and prepare the endometrium for embryo implantation.

    2. Endometrial Assessment: The clinic may perform tests such as ultrasounds or biopsies to ensure the uterine lining is receptive to implantation.

    3. Embryo Thawing: The frozen embryos are carefully thawed and assessed for viability before they are transferred into the uterus.

    4. Transfer Procedure: The embryo transfer procedure is usually a quick and painless process that involves placing the embryo(s) into the uterus using a thin catheter.

    5. Supportive Medications: Patients may be prescribed progesterone supplementation to support the early stages of pregnancy.

As for success rates, studies have shown that in many cases, frozen embryo transfers can be as successful as fresh embryo transfers in achieving healthy pregnancies. Some of the advantages of FET over fresh transfers include:

    1. Better Timing: FET allows for better synchronization between the embryo’s development and the uterine lining’s receptivity.

    2. Reduced Risk of Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome (OHSS): By separating the process of egg retrieval and embryo transfer, FET can help reduce the risk of complications like OHSS.

    3. **Higher Implantation

Fertility clinics prepare patients for frozen embryo transfers (FET) by prescribing medications to thicken the uterine lining, ensuring it’s receptive. Studies show that FETs often have slightly higher success rates than fresh transfers.
