1. Esomeprazole can be used with antacids; take antacids at least 2 hours before or after Esomeprazole to avoid interference with absorption.
2. Antacids may decrease the effectiveness of Esomeprazole. It’s best to separate their administration by at least 2 hours.
3. When combining Esomeprazole with other gastric meds like sucralfate, administer Esomeprazole at least 30 minutes before sucralfate to ensure proper absorption.
4. Esomeprazole should be taken at least an hour before other GI medications, such as H2 blockers, to prevent interaction and reduced efficacy.
