How effective is erythromycin for treating chlamydia infections and what protocols, including dosage and duration, are recommended to ensure complete eradication and minimize resistance risks?
Erythromycin is less preferred for chlamydia; doxycycline and azithromycin are more effective. If used, erythromycin 500mg 4 times daily for 7 days is recommended.
